Man With Down Syndrome Killed By Police

Robert Ethan Saylor died at the hands of the police when he wouldn't leave the theater after watching "Zero Dark Thirty". Saylor and his 18 year old aide attended the showing on March 22, 2013. After the showing, when the aide went to get the car, police were called about a disturbance with a man who wouldn't leave. The police placed three sets of cuffs around the man's wrists, because of his girth, and laid him on his stomach. After a few minutes Saylor began showing signs of distress. The police began to apply CPR but were unsuccessful in saving the man. A witness heard Saylor cry out for his mother, who coincidentally was not far away, and did not make in time. Saylor's death was ruled as homicide by asphyxia. It is ironic because Saylor idolized the police and would often call 911 just to ask questions.

Nonprofit Group Buys House and Paints It

The Westboro Baptist Church has a colorful new neighbor, and Roy G. Biv isn't going anywhere. The nonprofit group Planting Peace purchased a home across the street from the controversial church and painted the whole exterior the gay pride flag. Aaron Jackson, a member of Planting Peace, noticed the house was for sale when messing around with Google Maps, "The idea came right away: buy it and paint the colors of the pride flag." A member of the church claimed he was not worried, "I think it's amazing. I thank God for that house, because what is does is shine a brighter light on our message."

30 Million Locust Descend Upon Egypt

30 million locusts descended upon Egypt last weekend. The horde seemed to be centered around Southern Cairo. The government claims to have the situation under control but it still seems to be happening. Citizens set fire to tires to disperse the swarm but no success. "The armed forces and the Egyptian border units are trying to battle the swarm, I ask the families living in the area afflicted with the swarm to not light car tires. It doesn't drive the locusts away, it only causes damage," said Egypt's Prime Minister. The swarm has neighboring Israel on alert. There was warnings of a swarm back in November but those warnings were brushed off. What's next? Cue the frogs.
